Modern Creative Money: What is it & Who is it for

Modern Creative Money:
What is MCM & Who is it for

Imagine you have the opportunity to partner up with one of your heroes, someone you've been watching for years on YouTube and learning from their every move. That opportunity came my way when Evan Ranft reached out to me to be a part of his course titled Modern Creative Money (drop your email to be added to the list when we re-open enrollment on May 4th)

The story itself is pretty unique, because I never thought I would be at a level to help contribute to Evan’s course. I started as a student, taking his course and corresponding directly with him by offering up advice as to what I thought the course needed to be taken to the next level. Then much to my surprise, we set up a phone call which allowed me to offer up suggestions as to what I could add to the course and how we could come together as a team to make it better. And then in early April Evan and his videographer visit me here in Denver to record promo videos and help me further tell my story while giving them an opportunity to build assets to promote MCM.

One big similarity that Evan and I share is that we noticed lots of educational courses made for creatives, but also created as a money grab. I’ve spent over $1000 on various educational courses, trying to learn from some of the creatives that inspire me the most. Some of the courses fell very short of their price point, offering me very little knowledge, however, some were good and useful, but they seemed filled with fluff, and I had trouble understanding how that certain creator was charging top dollar for an educational course that seemed to underdeliver. Evan set out to destroy that notion, he wanted to create an educational course that exceeded the amount that students would pay for it, and we did just that.

Who is Modern Creative Money for?

This course is designed specifically for creatives (photographers, videographers and graphic designers) that are looking to enhance their knowledge of the business side of running a creative entity. The knowledge, skill sets, and tools in this educational course will help new and established creatives learn how to better market themselves, build a brand around their business and sell top-dollar projects. I was super fortunate to be able to add some of my knowledge to the course including pitch, email templates, establishing retainer, clients, and the basics behind licensing, and creative assets. There is also an opportunity to email directly with your instructors and ask questions so that we can help you use the tools in this educational course and take your creative business to the next level.

Why did Evan build it? And bring me on to contribute?

Essentially, this course was built to set a new precedent when it comes to educational courses for creators. As I mentioned above, there’s a lot of fluff out there, and because a Creative has a huge audience they feel the need to leverage that by providing their knowledge to that audience. Well, teaching isn’t always done in the best way so that was one of our main goals in building this course… to provide real value at a reasonable price and provide real support to the students who actively engage in the material in this educational journey.

Modern creative money will help countless creatives take their business skills to the next level so that we can all make more money and be proud of what we do at the same time. I feel very privileged and grateful to be able to work alongside Evan and provide some additional value to his course. It was a surreal experience working with a YouTuber that I had looked up to for so long, and then being able to be a part of his creative team. I am honored to be a part of this course, and to share it with you be sure to drop your email using the button below and don’t miss the relaunch of the course on May 4th
